South African Festivals

The International Arts Foundation and World Tours & Travel will sponsor its 8th Annual South African Cultural Business Initiative to beautiful South Africa, July 23 through August 3, 2008, visiting Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg.

8th Annual Business Initiative

  The South African Cultural and Business Initiative’s main focus is to further develop trade, investment, and education, and to bring about cultural exchange.  There will be seminars on industry, health, and government.  Legislators from the United States and throughout Africa will discuss issues and programs that have a significant impact on cultural and business development, both in America and Africa.

On July 25 through July 27, 2008 experience the 4th Annual Durban One World Music Festival, as well as the One World Medical Summit.  We are planning to visit a traditional Zulu village and school in KwaZulu-Natal Province, Shakaland, and Winelands.

  Participants of the South African Cultural and Business Initiative will receive:

·        International round trip airfare from Atlanta, as well as the flights to Durban and Cape Town

Fourth Annual One World Music Festival

   

 Programs

4th Annual One World Music Festival — July 25 - 27, 2008
In South Africa, the IAF is bringing people together from all over the globe. Nigeria, Brazil, Europe and the Caribbean, people as far as Israel and Germany have requested to perform. The foundation has booked bands from Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Brazil, and Latin America to name a few.

Kids to Africa
Partnered with New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) Teen Camp, Food Drives and Louis Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp, and News Orleans public schools, an organization that raised funds for teens to travel to Africa.

Business skills Apprenticeships
Provided work experience to teens working with the production and marketing teams of the Festival.
